Prohibited Quests

SideQuests is for ordinary local tasks and general help - not a professional-licensing marketplace.

SideQuests is built for everyday help: moving furniture, yard work, cleaning, deliveries, assembly, friendly errands, and the countless other tasks neighbours help neighbours with.

If performing a Quest for compensation legally requires a professional, trade, occupational, contractor, regulatory, or similar license, registration, certification, or permit, that Quest is not allowed on SideQuests.

Examples of prohibited work

• Electrical work that legally requires a licensed electrician or permit
• Plumbing or gas fitting that legally requires a licensed plumber or gas fitter
• HVAC or refrigeration work that legally requires licensed credentials
• Structural or major contracting work that legally requires a licensed contractor
• Medical, legal, or regulated financial services that legally require licensure
• Hazardous-material remediation that legally requires certified professionals
• Any activity that is otherwise illegal or already excluded by SideQuests policies

These examples are not exhaustive, and SideQuests cannot determine every legal requirement in every town. Borderline Quests may be sent for review rather than posted.
