What is a Quest?

A Quest is a real-world task someone posts when they need a hand - lawn care, moving, handyman work, cleaning, delivery, furniture assembly, painting, and more. Someone ready to earn claims the Quest, completes the work, and gets paid securely. Payments are processed through Stripe, Questers complete an identity check before claiming, and both sides build reviews and reputation over time.

How SideQuests Works

Describe what you need done, set a price, and choose your town. It takes 30 seconds.

2. Authorize Payment
Your card is authorized through Stripe for the quest price plus the 14% service fee - the full total is shown before anything moves. The payment is captured only after you approve the work.

3. A Quester Claims It
Questers see your quest and claim it. You get notified instantly and can chat in real time.

4. They Complete the Work
The quester shows up, does the job, and uploads after photos. You approve the finished work.

5. You Approve and Pay
Review the work and approve. The full quest price goes 100% to the quester - released automatically through Stripe within a 24-hour approval window.

Payments You Can Trust

Payments are processed by Stripe. When a poster creates a Quest, the card is authorized but not charged. The payment is captured only after the poster approves the completed work - or automatically after the 24-hour approval window, with dispute protection pausing payouts. Questers keep 100% of the Quest price.

Earn XP, Build Reputation, Level Up

Questers earn XP for every completed Quest, unlock badges, climb city and regional leaderboards, and build reputation over time. Posters see the same facts - completed Quests, ratings, and identity checks - before someone starts work.

Browse Quests by city and category, or explore the live map. Exact locations are only revealed after a Quester is approved - the search and map experience uses an approximate city-level location to protect everyone's privacy.
